Precious is a loyal and loving Shih Tzu. She is totally blind and does very well. She enjoys going on walks and to the park. Her noise and ears help her with her direction.
Shih Tzu originated in China, probably as the result of crossings between the Pekingese and the Lhasa Apso. The breed was a favorite of the Imperial Chinese court and was the house pet for most of the Ming Dynasty.

dogs are amazing. my cleo was blind. she lived for 16 years. from 14 to 16 you could tell her sight was slowly fading, at the end she could only see light & dark but I think that was it. but she could get around. she knew how to get around the house and the backyard. if something wasn't right she would retrace her steps and do it over. when thinking about it, it was truly amazing how she could get around.
