yep it takes a picture, and saves it on the computer if it get stolen. Now if it had an alert to tell you the machine was stolen, and 4 pounds of C-4, your would be happy to set off. Sadly, not. I no longer have my macbook :(

Yeah and its freeware :) - works on many macs with the SMS sensor.
