@jazzflutist ELECTRIC jazz guitars like my gretsch give a much more "soothing" sound pluggged in than an acoustic
-
@VitaumB I find backing in b flat better suited as I lernt that blues scale first, but it's what you get used to.

@Actar411 : Not sure I understood the comment. Anyway, you should maybe post something (clarinet? sax?). I use the comments to try and learn how to play better. Um, sometimes I play worse. Cheers
(soothe?)
Yes, I agree "s.o.o.t.h.e." is the correct spelling.

@jazzflutist Soothe was the word you were looking for, agreed? Notice the "e" on the end after the "th"?
You should use the G blues scale. The notes are: G-Bb-C-C#-D-F-G.

Notice how electric piano pretty well destroys all the ambience? If you're going to make play alongs, use a proper piano.
Electric anything (guitar included) has a metallic, cold, unfeeling, brain-searing, migraine-inducing kind of feel to it. Not designed to sooth. Agree?

It's a grand piano.

Thus proving I'm an utter twit.
Maybe just the miking, or my ears. But, great to jam to. Good work.

I think that I can really improve the sound quality, and that will probably be my goal for future recordings. It would be pretty nice to have free jazz play alongs online.
