Aye, there's no particular reason to believe that Ann Boleyn is the subject of the song, nor Henry VIII the composer. It probably has its origins in the Elizabethan period, as the style of the song was not introduced to England (from Italy) until her reign. Still, it's an amusing myth.

I never said Henry was a good person. Also, I never said anything about her not being the victim when she was murdered. I was referring specifically to her courtship. So along with refining your historical research skills, I'd recommend honing your reading comprehension as well.
