this woman sounds so stupid... and for the record, uneducated antique woman, the bones were broken and folded under their foot, then bandaged and put into smaller and smaller shoes for 2 years, (very expensive) and the shoes were originally made by the women because it was a sign of status (early in its existence) and showed they didn't need to work on the farm, and instead it was their job to create these shoes for themselves and care for their feet, because that's what their feet allowed
