Hi,

When I insert a disc the Wii takes it but there is a quite ticking sound and the disc in not read. I opened the Wii to check and I see that the disc is taken but doesn't go down to the Wii motor and laser to read it. When I slightly touch on top of the white plastics it goes down and it reads.

I don't know why he doesn't want to put the discs down to read them. With a slight touch on the disc (on the top) or on the white plastics is goes down and I can play.

What can be done ?

Thanks everybody for replying and helping me out..

  • i bought a broken wii and when i got it , it was doing same thing.. if you take that metal plate off which is abour 5 screwa i think...on the right side of the drive you will notice a little metal bar with a spindle which turns gears whichoperate open, close ,eject ,insert procedures. check that area one of the gears may be broke. ive ordered a replacement drive found it to be cheaper and less time consuming than to look and look for the gears lol but check that area of the drive out

  • It's like the little plate that is supposed to press the disc down is stuck or something, it sure sounds like if something is stuck.

  • are u shore the cd is the right way
