In 1974 Bernard Herrmann arranged a suite from the film score he composed for director Francois Truffaut's FAHRENHEIT 451 (1967) which was based on the Ray Bradbury novel. He recorded the suite in London conducting the National Philharmonic Orchestra. The suite was the fourth of four suites on the London Phase 4 album THE FANTASY FILM WORLD OF BERNARD HERRMANN. The suite contained the cues "Prelude", "Fire Engine", "The Bedroom", "Flowers of Fire" and "The Road and Finale".
The artwork on the cover of the LP is the work of artist Richard Kriegler.
