Like Fireball XL5 and Stingray before it, Thunderbirds was originally slated to have an end credits theme song, 'Flying High'. After hearing it, Gerry Anderson ultimately decided that having a song over the end credits was not suited to the series, so 'Flying High' was nixed and replaced by the 'Thunderbirds March' a mere fortnight before it was first shown.

'Flying High' was released on the soundtrack CD 'Thunderbirds 2' as a bonus track, and I wondered what it would be like to see it alongside the end credits. I had to slightly lengthen the close up shots of Thunderbirds 1 & 2, as well as the ATV logo, to have the video match the length of the song. It's still not as good as I'ld like, but I feel I did a decent job for a first time Windows Movie Maker user.

Enjoy!

  • Wow - I've never heard this one! Thanks for sharing.

  • Actually - if you've watched 'Richochet' in the series you will have. It's one of the songs Rick O'Shea plays.

  • Before you all give me a thumbs down, I think Thunderbirds is the best series ever made, and this song is pretty cool, but I don't think it works over the end credits. I'm gald they decided to go with the traditional march instead.

  • This should have been used as the closing theme.
