  • the best way to block a kick is to move out of the way and not have to block it in the first place. if you miss time the block then you could easily break an arm or rib. be light on your feet and avoid is the best way.

  • If I can catch his leg like that, I would rather sweep his other leg and put him on the ground.

  • i would like to have a croissant or two with that man

  • @tyebo87 in real life maybe. in a sport situation where you have to think about stamina/tactics, blocking allows for easier and quicker counters. there are plenty of things you do in the ring which would be dangerous in real life (like jumping kicks or high kicks in general). but that's why it's a sport. like i said, in kickboxing, it's preferable to put yourself in a position to counter rather than back away.

  • step with the direction the kick is going like what he is doing in this video and one of 3 things. one round house from like the spot right behind there knee to make it buckle so they hit the ground or side kick the body or front kick it. but if someone did this in a fight and that happened just grab it and throw a front kick up into the groin.

  • @blackbtty123 That's what he expects, why not go for a counter round-house and surprise him with a K.O :)

  • @tyebo87 no,you can take advantage of the situation by catching the kick and countering

because if you avoid it,no one gets points or damage

if you take the "pound for pound" way, your opponent doesnt get points, but you do,for doing damage,or taking him down while holding the leg.

its riskier, but more effective, and your way is like..the pacifistic way,but in a fight there is no such thing as pacifism...

i personally like avoiding kicks too,but its not "the best way"!

  • he would only catch at kick like that if its a slow, big killer kick. not a fast kick which are more effective in some ways

  • @blackbtty123 That's what everybody does, so it's kind of smarter to give him a high kick, which he's not expecting
