El Sculpido - Sculpin Pattern

This is a deadly pattern in any river system. Sculpins are a major food source for trout and other species of fish and this fly provides a realistic presentation in all conditions. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

  • Very nice streamer patter. Will work great on the tailwaters here in TN.

  • @flyfishtn Let me know how it works!

  • best streamer ive seen on youtube, keep up the good work!

  • @adamsfan91 Thanks man! I am working to get some new stuff uploaded. Tight lines

  • I am going to buy material for this fly today. I love to fish stremers for big trout here in Missouri at Lake Taneycomo. What rod and leader/tippet do you use with this pattern? Awsome looking fly!

  • @ebowen3006 -- Did you tie any up yet?? I usually use my 5 wt and 0x-3x tippet... Its a pretty light fly so it casts great with a 5 wt. I have also used it with my 7wt and a heavy sink tip for some of the lakes out in CO. I've found that stripping it in with a long and delayed action works best in the lakes (at least out here!) Thanks for the post

  • Heres hoping that some Michigan steelhead knock it silly real soon. Thanks man. Thats a beauty. Keep em coming.

  • I ran out of room. I didn't really get to it, but great tie! You basically took my two favorite sculpin patterns that I like to tie and put them into one. Defiantly going to add this one to my box. Over here fishing the Skagit, one can't have enough sculpin patterns. Thanks again, great video!
