Murray 6hp 2 seater Go Kart Idle

My Murray Explorer startup & idle.....finally got the kill switch cleaned, and also finally got the front tires pumped and I learned how to seal & pump them correctly. Getting 4 new tires soon, 2 front and 2 back, and using my 3 working old tires as spares. Stay tuned.

I got a 5hp briggs one wheel drive and has tires with tred for pavment, but I have alot of fun in the gravel and grass with it, you just can't completely stop and keep it off hills

yeah same here. as long as i dont stop on the grass or dirt, its good.

what tires are you getting i have the same one but i dont know what to get

@THURLRIZZLE actually the tires i purchased when i got 4 new ones were turf savers but they were a different brand.........not carlisle (there were sold out of carlisle turf savers). They dont' work on anything except pavement cause my kart is only 1 wheel drive (unless you dont stop on the grass or dirt, or gradually slow down.)

hi man cool kart got one just the same as yours for my kids but it doesnzt have the clutch or chain can you please let me know what kind of clutch and size of chain your using thank you

Let me ask you this does the black thing that rides the chain,does it matter if i need it on my explorer

@MXHondas230 I just bought one but its running real rich. Were can i find out how to tune it up. The spring attached to the governor was off and I'm not sure which hole it belongs in. I have the same cart and engine. Cheers

very nice kart dude glad your getting it going, i hate to see old(good) things die and i like the idea with the lights. and looks a little narrow to be a 2 seater

i have the same exact go kart but i had to replace the clutch and had to go through the whole motor becuas it sat outside for so long it rusted when i went through the engine a bunch of water came out from the rain but its running great eversince i did that.

@12jamesthomas yea, ur trottle could be hung open. my fier fox LXT techmseh 5 HP needed a new spring. u can c it in my vid...
