Video footage taken on a dive trip to the Cenotes, Yucatan, Mexico with New Horizons Dive Centre and Dive Aventuras in November 2007.
There are two water entries into Chac Mool, both leading to the same cavern. The first cavern is relatively large with a lot of light entering from the opening. In the second cavern, a portion of the ceiling has collagpsed under an air dome where divers can surface thus allowing divers to admire two levels of beautiful stalactites.
Chac Mool is also one of the caverns to have a halocline (where salt and fresh water mix to create a fascinating visual effect).
