Montage footage from the Knob Creek Machine Gun Night Shoot, West Point, Kentucky; April 9, 2011. The night shoot is in two segments. This is from the 8:30 segment, and represents only a portion of the 20 minute or so event. I have posted a separate video of day-shooting activities.

ABOUT KNOB CREEK GUN RANGE: This is an active business entity located just south of Louisville, Kentucky; and adjacent to the northern border of the Fort Knox military installation. The Knob Creek property encompasses several hundred acres, including smaller ranges for renting and shooting guns, and observing competitions. Costs for renting and shooting full-auto weapons ranged up to $100, possibly higher depending on the firearm and amount of time/ammo. At this particular event, rental range activities were very limited due to flooding on the range earlier that day.

This semi-annual event includes a massive gun show with hundreds of vendors and thousands of products represented. There is an on-site gun shop, fully stocked, open during normal business hours, and was certainly "shoppable" during the show. Admission to the April 2011 event was only $10.....tremendous value for periodic machine gun and cannon demonstrations, gun show, viewing competitions, and non-traditional displays of pyrotechnics.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE.....THE SALE AND USE OF FULLY AUTOMATIC FIREARMS IN THE U.S. IS HIGHLY REGULATED AND RESTRICTED. The greatest majority of those operating these firearms at Knob Creek are retired or active law enforcement and/or military. This also includes security. The event goes out of its way to recognize and thank veterans for their service.

Attendees for these events make a significant contribution to the local economy; food, hotels, fuel, products, etc. Please consider the impact this event has on the local economy and its residents before you post a baseless anti-gun comment. Industries and consumers supporting the 2nd Amendment represent a tried and true solid contribution to manufacturing and consumption. If you have a better idea for re-energizing and sustaining the economy, other than earmarks and entitlements, please, put your words to action. Educational discussion on the topic is welcome. However, if you are overly rude, irrational, racist, or just a plain jerk, my trigger finger is also pretty good at deleting posts and blocking people.

Have a nice day!
