This song brings tears to my eyes every time. My dad passed away when I was 13... I didn't end up on a boat though (Go Army).

I have been away from the east coast (Florence Cape Breton) for 7 years now. The work up here in the far North of Ontario is cold, yesterday was -32 without windchill, but standing behind and starting a turbo prop aircraft is a windchill that most will never know. Growing up on the East Coast where hard work no matter what the condition is something that was past on to us. Just like Stan before him JP makes me proud to be a East Coaster.

That is so wonderful that you daughter is named that!!! I love JP's music so much. It is the traditional aspect that I love and the fact that each song tells a story about life in Atlantic Canada. Often times when I'm feeling down I out his music on and it really sooths me. So I am more than happy to share these videos and get JP's great music out there for the world to hear. I would like to think JP has also viewed them as well!!!
