Dr. L.R. Bennett from Jesup, Georgia turned 82 on July 2, 2009. He got me into road bike riding about 30 years ago. He went on the first bike ride across georgia (BRAG) and has gone on several BRAGs through out his life time. The last full Brag he on, he was 70 and at 77 he did only 50 miles of one. He would love to ride on another bike tour. But the question is...Is he too OLD. There was a 85 year old man on the 2009 Bike Virginia. So this slideshow is an inspirational show to motivate DAD and others, who think they are too old to ride a road bike 400 mile tour. Thank you General! Just a while ago I thought I'm too old in my 54 years to ride a road bike although I like them. You inspired me to begin the world anew. God bless you!

Gen. Slay, I had the pleasure of videotaping your "opening pitch" in Radford last month. For a man with such stellar accomplishments, you certainly show a lot of humor and humility. You are an inspiration. Have Warren call me if you'd like a DVD copy of the pitch to add to your archive. Tom Wright, Video Solutions (804) 814-3654
