We are very honored you wish you share Thrive, but what you are doing is Illegal. Please take down all 9 parts. We do not wish to take legal action. If these videos are not down by tomorrow 11/22 we will be forced to take legal action. Thank You so much.

My response,.....Why would you take legal action against me for spreading this message? You do realize the whole world can not afford to purchase this information, and by threatening people who are sharing it on you tube; aren't you contradicting your message? The movie advocates to stop suppressing FREE, clean energy, so the elitist will loose the capability to charge us for their dirty energy. Here you are trying to suppress this movie from being free to the masses?

I respect and understand the "Thrive" creators trying to recoup the cost of marketing and producing this film, and I would guess this will still be possible collecting from those who have paid, however, I also know you will not be able to stop this video from going viral and the cost to take everyone who uploaded this movie to court would defeat the purpose of making your money back.

Furthermore, threatening to take people to court is also contradictory to your message. The court systems are corrupted and flawed by the same people you wish to fight against. I ask you, the sender of this message, two questions. First, why so many contradictions from the messages in your movie and the threats to sue individuals who wish to share it? Secondly, is there an amount of money I could pay you to eliminate the threat of court, that would help you regain your investment?

Sincerely,
Anthony M. Veller

There response..(notice how they did not answer any of my questions)

I truly appreciate your support in taking down this pirated copy. Kimberly and I deeply appreciate your enthusiasm for sharing Thrive around the world.

I want to address the fact that people are posting THRIVE to the Internet for free. To us this feels like a violation and a theft, and we ask that you do not view or share the copyright-infringing links.

We believe that our decades of hard work, personal financial expense and personal risk to our safety yielded a product that has value. What would a thriving world look like to you when it comes to exchanging value?

We provide a screening option so people can team up and pay very little to see THRIVE. We provide the vast resource of the website for free. We dubbed the movie into 10 languages and partnered with Play it Forward to incentivize global sharing. People can even use the film to create fund-raising screenings for their own organizations.

Taking the film without permission is, in our view, unethical and undermines the viability of thrivemovement.com. and the team carrying this forward.

Our film suggests the core principle for a thriving world is 'non-aggression'. No matter how benevolent the justification, as we see it the movement for thriving has to be centered by integrity and realistic economic principles to succeed.

When exactly is it OK to violate someone? That is one of the core questions in THRIVE, and the answer to that for us is - NEVER. That answer is the fundamental operating principle of all the solutions we promote.

I believe Kimberly's and my care for others is demonstrated in THRIVE. How can it be that our team being compensated invalidates our commitment? To us that feels like a false choice. Care and compensation are not mutually exclusive.

We intended this model to show that radical global transformation can be self-sustaining. We are not imposing behavior. We believe we can exchange value in a win/win way, like iTunes does.

We are learning that the people are extremely passionate about sharing this message with the world and at the same time, we must figure out a way to keep this film sustainable. We invested so much time and money into the film, which means we must create a model of return on our investment. Our team is working on making some changes, and evolving with our viewers. In the meantime, we are respectfully asking people to remove pirated versions and we truly appreciate all the support in this.

Thank you so much for your service to humanity and for supporting a film we worked tremendously hard for.

Sincerely,
Foster Gamble

  • Yes a huge huge mistake to charge for the movie. It will not get to the masses of the people who really need a dose of hope and civilization. It directly contradict's the message! They are doing exactly what J.P. Morgan did to Tesla!!! Shame on you!

  • Guys, watch Zeitgeist... it's really free. I was excited about Thrive based on the traler but when I saw that the producers threathened people due to copyright purposes I'm not so keen anymore. The Zeitgeist Movement advocates a Resource Based Economy and it's no BS because all their movies and videos are FREE (In youtube or torrent files).

  • Upload the fucking thing to Youtube and monetize it. You're just as bad as the 1%.

  • curious

  • ...really pissed me off...

The right question is asked. Is this entertainment or a public service.

  • I'm of 2 minds about this. I have a dozen educational videos and it really when they were selling to see pirated copies. On the other hand what is their goal, to make money or spread a message? If they truly cared they would ask for donations and not require a fee to see it. Having said that it costs money to produce a video and to maintain a site and how much are we willing to commit a small amount. Not an easy issue.

  • @nelsonmandellastella

OK In short:The cost of energy is the cost of converting the raw source to a usable form and/or getting it to the desired location. Sun, wind, coal, oil, uranium, zero-point etc. are natural and basically free.

So..while it might be possible to produce cheaper energy, it will never be free.

e.g. The Sunshine if free but solar energy is not and never will be. Nor will any other form of energy.

  • @razor71927 Sorry Razor, my BAD!! I misunderstood what I read there. I have seen the movie, but paid my $5 to do so. On checking back to get additional information I misread and gave wrong advise earlier. Sorry for the interruption.

  • @jrjny2scssyt They have not made it available for FREE - not even on their site!

  • @Atom299 Now let me tell you something - Go Away!

  • u guys make a damn good point about availability. i havent seen thrive or heard of it til just now, but even if there isnt a free source of energy waiting for us, i kno there has to be a better way than some of these people would have for us. it may require some personal sacrifices, maybe even that of private transportation, but not our lives, and not our liberties, and not access to food and clean air and water. we must not settle for anything less in us or china or africa etc.
