I use Exact hand feeding formula. I usually start hand feeding between 10 and 14 days of age.

Yes, if you want he to be friendly. If you want wild cockatiels for breeding, then you don't have to.

If you want tame chicks, you have to handfeed them from 2 or 3 weeks of age until they eat on their own around 8 weeks of age. If you dan't care if they are tame, then you can let the parents care for them. Most cockatiels make good parents.
