@toltec13 Hey thanks for the info.. I'm thinking I might have a partially blocked toilet, but what's weird is that it flushes fine every once in a while which completely throws me off. I mean, how can a partially blocked toilet flush fine sometimes? No other drains in the bathroom back up and I can see water moving in the pipes outside via the clear out when I have someone flush the toilet. Very frustrating because they aren't that complicated..The toilet is an American Standard 2 yrs old..
@da324 If you want a quicker solution, and you took notice where the water holes are with the mirror, take a small drill bit that will fit the small hole and with your hand clear open the holes. DON"T USE A DRILL.
@da324 Once you have poured the Lime Away in the opening where the flapper sits, lift the toilet seat up and you will see the Lime Away entering the toilet bowl. With a mirror take note where the Lime Away is entering and you will see small openings. Make sure enough Lime Away drip down those holes and DON'T flush till next morning. This may require several applications if the toilet had severe calcium build-up.
@da324 Hi there, This may require more explanation than You Tube will allow me to write so I'll write it in 2-3 paragraphs. Okay, here goes. First, I'm assuming that your toilet has 2 parts: toilet tank and a toilet bowl. The toilet tank fills with water after each flush; the toilet bowl is were we sit when nature calls. Turn off water supply to the water tank and flush toilet. With the water tank empty, lift up the flapper and pour a bottle of Lime Away. At this point, lift up the toilet seat.
@da324 Turn off water from the line that goes to the toilet. Then drain the toilet by pulling down on the handle. Remove the water reservior top and you will see the flapper. Lift the flapper up and pour a bottle of Lime Away. Now lift up the toilet seat and you should see the Lime Away dripping into the toilet bowl. Make sure you pour enough Lime Away so the entire ceramic water line in your toilet bowl is delimed. Let the Lime Away sit overnight.
