Our school sang this for a program.

Too bad no one took the time to teach the kids the difference between a melodic voice and a playground voice. They're almost shouting in some places. This could have been so much better.

My choir might be taking it faster because it is a processional! and we will not be taking any of the ritardandos! Ah! lol

This is such a beautiful song and we are looking to put together a children's group to sing it with our church choir this Christmas. It is one of our favorites for its simplicity and powerful message. Thanks for sharing.

there is NO need to have 2 conductors on the stage conducting at the same time.

@ATLKapellmeister lol this is very true! but she was there to make the kids feel better and less frightened, and our conductor wanted to conduct with a former student of his. So it was more sentimental than piratical. lol
