A fleeting, almost subliminal example of the smash-zoom technique in Joseph Losey's "Accident" (1967). Smash zoom (= zooming-in + tracking-out, or vice versa) was pioneered by Hitchcock in "Vertigo" (1958).

Kind of a curio, I guess. The only thing I liked about Vertigo is the fine narrative structure. Visually I thought it was a bit of a hodgepodge.
