Ha!!! I remember this movie! To me, it was boring though!
But then, I was just getting into anime and this movie had sooooo much talking in it, I literally fell asleep through it! I can probably enjoy it more now that I'm older LOL! XP

I was disapointed because they didnt really add action in the 1 and 2 patlabor movies they had but other than that it was good

3 was bizarre. It focused more on the detectives than the Patlabor police unit and dealt with a man-made monster creature. I'm not kidding. The focus on the detectives wasn't bad, imo. they reduced the Patlabors to tools, which is what they are. All in all, it's much more a whodunnit than the first two films were because it focuses so much on the detectives and almost has the labors as cameos.

don't forget about Patlabor:WXIII the movie. not so much about SV2, but still good.
and the TV series and OVAs.

You should watch 1 and 2 and then make your jugment, you can't say that 2 is better because you haven't seen 1. You need to see 1 and then you can say 1 or 2 is getter than the other 1 ok (^^)

Both movies are fantastic. I think I rate movie 2 slightly higher than 1, but movie 1 was a bit more upbeat I think.
