Launch Date: February 14, 1977
Power: 16,000 b.h.p.
Maiden Voyage: June 7th, 1997 (Lorain, OH to Superior, WI to load iron ore).

The Mesabi Miner was named in honor of the people of the Mesabi Iron Range in Minnesota.
