  • Master Chen looks so young without his beard :D btw all videos is so awesome. I'm agree with @bab4 i never saw other master so open with his technic :| i have so many thanks for all the videos, i think these videos will help me a lot.

  • No, the "7th dan Black Belt" does not refer to Shifu, Chen Zhonghua. It refers to the workshops host, Michael Calandra, who is a Karate Sensei and a fellow disciple of Shifu Chen in Chen style Taijiquan. You are right, there is no such thing as kyu/dans in Taijiquan or any other Chinese martial art system. Kyu/Dan belongs to Japanese martial arts (post Jigoro Kano), and those influenced by the Japanese styles such as many modern Korean martial art systems.

  • It says "7th dan black belt" in the description, but I've never heard of such thing in Taichi. Is that Master Chen's own system? Or it refers to grades in some Japanese systems?
