Germans are serious about everything. Especially as regards education.
This does not stop in adult age. Constant self-improvement, intellectual challenge and the will for lifelong qualification are the basis of Germany's effective and successful workforce.
This one is an example of a class attending a Yodeling school. The final goal is to obtain the very popular Yodeling Diploma.
This is worth a lot in Germany! You can start a successful career by being a professional yodelist. This is especially important for housewives, as shown by the interview after class.

They cut off the best part and the whole reason this sketch is so funny.....They go out on the street and interview her husband, he says exactly what she says word for word. It's as if her whole persepctive about being independent is just her rehashing her husbands words and she is not independent at all. They totally flip the script!!! I love Loriot!
