personal catharsis is the primary benefit for vlogging imo. feedback is great but it cant be the only motivator cos then you get caught up on stats and such.. and its impossible to predict which of your efforts will go down the best or which will end up spreading to be seen by more people or whatever.. so i dont care about numbers anymore. id actually rather have less views and more intelligent contribution.

I think we also should be cautious of these youtube trolls and other peeps who send us "friend" invites while they sub our channel. Sometimes, they'll do that ONLY to stalk, keep a record of what we're favoriting & try MAN-ipulating us into believing what they believe. So, I keep my distance most of the time. Generally, I;m very layed back, loyal friend and keep to myself but the minute someone disrespects me or comes at me the wrong way, that other personality comes out lol

Thats why I've been pretty hesitant about making youtube videos speaking to folks live via my webcam. I got a lot of haters and my account was cloned on 3 occasions in their attempt to get my channel suspended while they mocked me; copied the comments in my profile and switched it up to make it seem like I was some perverted freak or something. So, imagine if I were to actually go ahead and make videos showing my face. Thats why I also prefer to keep my "friends"/"associations down to a minimum
