Great vid, dear sir! But it takes the magic out of TRANSFORM YA for me! I can't believe Swizz Beatz used a preset sound?!? I, like many on the net, thought he had some tech set up with vocoder and robo efx.

Anyway tho, thanks for setting me straight. Just, for the sake of the future of music, promise that you will not be lame like Swizz and simply use a factory sample on your productions. I know you won't but jus' sayin'...

@sdarbro Haha Thanks man.. Yea I feel you its disappointing when you think so much more work went into its creation. Its still genius that he can find a sound like that and make it into the song he did.

@deniz678 Haha.. I was in the same situation as you. I narrowed down to the fantom and motif bc I already got a Korg Keyboard but I went with the fantom just because everyone has the motif. I mean I know a lot of people have the G8 too but I dunno I just liked it better for the music I was working with. Also I dont know if the motif has this but you can sample from any keyboard using a DI... So if you like some sounds on the motif you can always do that..thanks for watchin

I have the 1st fantom nothing like the fantom 6 or 7 ext its really basic but for a studio its Ok.Nothing will compare with Korg.

@djjafa05 I hear what you are saying but I disagree with your thought that people are always going to respect them. People who have no understanding of music, production, sound design, etc. MIGHT respect them, BUT the REAL artists (guys like you and I who study this shit) will always know that they are, essentially, juicing themselves like Barry Bonds.

I argue that money does not determine success, but artistic value does. Artists who rely on samples will not stand the test of time, I say.
