'Abandoned' in Swat Valley

Six months after the Pakistani military fought and drove out the Taliban from the Swat Valley in the North West Frontier province, homes remain in ruins.

People in the Valley say they were promised help with reconstruction, but they have received little assistance so far.

Al Jazeera's Kamal Hyder reports from Shakar Dara, where many feel they've been abandoned.

Im sure the Taliban was in charge of the aircraft, bombs,and munitions required to level all of those houses to the ground, No it was paki govt manipulated and pushed by the U.S.

The Taliban were invited and given authority in the swat valley by the people in the area - now the same people want government money after the Taliban betrayed them and forced the government to step in.
