I have a great running 318 motor and trans that I am considering putting in my 2008 JK 2 door. What are some other major parts you advise keeping from the donor vehicle?

@ILMBRYAN I had a Dakota with that engine in it and that truck really moved, I can't imagine that power in a Jeep!

I've got a 90' YJ that im currently throwing buckets of money into. I was thinking of doing a fuel injection swap on it, but the parts for that are gonna run me close to 2k. If i could do a V8 swap for the same price, i'd be crazy not to. Awesome jeep BTW!

The engine and transmission can be found for less than $800 the swap parts like motor mounts, adaptors, shifter and throttle cables, auto conversion kit, radiator you're looking at another $900 in parts. The wiring harness by Backwoods Offroad is $700. It's not a Vortec Engine it's a Mopar 5.2 or 318 powerplant. Thanks for the kind words.
