"Imani", arranged by Sean O'Loughlin and performed by the Spartanburg Community Band.
Comissoned by the Solvay High School Concert Band of Solvay, New York, "Imani" is the a work celebrating the spirit of Kwanzaa. The word "imani" means "faith", and represents the seventh day of Kwanzaa, which is the final day of celebration that follows Christmas. Filled with challenging percussion and wonderful rhythmic passages, "Imani" is a work that musically brings about the principle of faith a midst struggle.
