Friendship is Black Metal - Sadistic Generousity

Yes, the quality is shit, but inspiration is haste. This isn't really a full release, but more of a demo that will either get scrapped or redone. For the most part, I'm beginning to realize the beauty of minimalism,but let me tell you a little bit about myself.

I fucking love metal, and I don't mean your mainstream garbage, I mean the stuff you can only get by torrenting and browsing youtube. It played an important role in my development as a musician. As I grew as a guitarist, I became more aware of myself, and my compositions before I started going on Youtube. For the most part, they are shit, and the new ones I post on YouTube is lesser shit. After I make a good song, I begin hating it and find ways to improve myself, and I begin to ask myself how the fuck did I end up with this many subscribers.

After diving myself into a scene in which I had to cater to neanderthalls unaffilated with metal and more with other genres which I had once despised due to the poor technical instrumental skills and the constant need to wub everything, I have slowly developed skills on the proper way to compose music. And I am glad that I got rid of this prejudice I once had, but alas, there are times when I think I'm kidding myself.

For God's sake, is metal a gimmick? Is it up there with killing a fucking bear, or call of duty, where virginal fags show off their false masculinity on the internet. Am I just a fucking monkey to cater to these dumbfucks that "herr...derrr...ponies are METAL?" Sometimes you just need to ask yourself these questions. Sure, I highly respect those with good taste to like metal and it's extreme counterparts, but there are times when I just think to myself: "yeah, right."

And that's one thing I hate about myself...this judgmental factor that is thankfully decaying away thanks to a great community.

Still, I kinda wonder how all these other artists feel. When you just break it down, the people who are looking at your work aren't educated turds who criticize your constant use of the Ionian mode in G-minor with the same damn chord progression. That worries me.

Anyways, this is more of a side project I'm doing. Basically, by February, expect a full black metal album of the grimdark version theme songs of the mane 6, right after the NeighSlayer album. I will try to get vocals into this one. Why a black metal album? It's just ego issues. The fact is my material will gradually get lighter over the next few months, and I need a holster to remind me who I am.
