In this act of the 1984 Press Your Luck game, Michael Larson takes only 3 spins to the big board. He only whammys out once, and that's all. He soon figures out his strategy. Also see what the other two contestants, Ed and Janie, rack up in this round.

  • They make the guy out to be Satan -- he was just a smart guy.

  • I can imagine Rick Stern noticing his son playing a video game one day, and then snapping his fingers with wide-open eyes and an agape mouth and saying under his breath, "So THAT'S the look Michael Larson had on his face that day!"

  • I can't stop thinking that he's probably a sociopath. I mean when you look at the progression of his smiles as the other people start spinning, they start to die. I can tell that's he probably faking it. I feel bad for his family cause they tried to push him to being a decent guy, but he was self-destructing. I have no idea what the cause was for all of this, but I'm sure he had some antisocial personality disorder, idk.

  • lol at 1:24

  • Good Christ, this dude took them for, compared to the amount the made off of this show, a tiny sum, and yet they're vilifying a dead man as if he bankrupted CBS.

  • A home gym for only 499.99 what a steal! or could be a crapy one

  • He was the DEVIL! Look at him. ;)

....kidding.... hey had the system.... good for him..

  • Ok I am totally drawn into this story

  • All he did was use the "Rain Man" approach, but in this case you can't kick the guy out of the casino.

  • @derubermax

Its because he took all of the studio's money :P

  • 5:34 he sounds like a dinosaur LOL

  • @braves15 that's exactly it. People keep defending this guy and praising him for being so cunning, but there's more to it than getting the best of a game show. This man was absolutely obsessed with money and making it as quickly as possible... and his life (and others) fell apart for it. He was not a good person.
