@strawbry3shortcake Ricky is still making music. He and his band Kentucky Thunder have been popular in Bluegrass music for a number of years now. Still, you are absolutely right- what the radio stations call country today is not country.

What a shame--this was during the period during which he was contractually obligated NOT to play or record Bluegrass--the price of being a Country Music Star!! Do you think that would be tolerated today? I pray not! Maybe we'd still have his buddy Keith Whitley if Country Music in the 70s and 80s had not been so narrow minded.

Ricky Skaggs is one of the best country music stars out there today I've grown up listening to his music and I tell ya I love his music and always well thanks for the great music ricky!
