Been some time, hasn't it!

What you see here is a demonstration of the new and improved scripted Sword physics, and how it fares against the new Octoroks which are entirely scripted-- to the point that they even have a custom hurt/stunned animation frame. You might notice that Felix does now, too, and that I recoded the Subscreen, and... recoded basically everything and its mother. o.o Yeah, see after the haitus I felt in the mood to give my game an overhaul from the ground up.

And it's far from finished! I would like your opinions on what you see here. This is a Concept/Draft video because I will be changing a lot of it; the Octorok behavior for one needs to be toned down or re-done, basically it was my first attempt at scripting an enemy from scratch (without just tacking on extra behaviors to an existing one). The result is choppy, at best, from my own standpoint. But at least I know I can do it.

Done ranting now. Enjoy the little sword exhibition. ^^

The music is "Rooftop Run", from Sonic Unleashed.

  • @Pokemaster64 : They still work together! It's not like this is Halo 2 AI or whatever; it's more subtle. Geez...

@SillyCat2 : But don't you know? Death and Life are the same coin. ^_^ Anyway don't pressure me, or I'll pour laundry detergent on your Charmander. He'll be soooo sticky.

  • @schwazala No, not my Charmander! He's going to drown in soap!

  • @Silleycat2 Oh I forgot to mention. The soap suds have radioactive chemicals in them that will make your Charmander melt into goo and then bond and become a part of the first Trainer to get too close, turning them into a Pokemorph. *wink wink* ;P Hahaha~

  • @schwazala I see what you did there.

  • This........ this has to be the most amazing thing I've ever seen in Zelda Classic. Keep at it, Schwa! Don't let this project die!

  • The octoroks seem to be moving in a random Zelda 1 manner. Did you remove the part where they work together?
