"Stoned Soul Picnic" appears as the fifth cut on "Live" by Swing Out Sister released by the Shanachie Entertainment Corporation. "Stoned Soul Picnic" was a popular song from the year 1968. The most popular version of the song was recorded by The Fifth Dimensions, and was the first single relased from their album of the same title, and was the most successful single from that album, reaching #3 on the U.S. Pop Charts and #2 on the Black Singles charts. The song was also recorded by its' composer Laura Nyro, and released on her "Eli and the Thirteenth Confession" album the same year.
