MEET MIKE SONG

As a child, growing up in Torrance, California, Mike Song had lofty aspirations of becoming a jedi master. When that career didn't pan out, he focused his attention on the most logical substitute, dancing. At first, he only displayed his moves at church alleys, radio show contests, and whenever he was on the losing end of a bet. However, when he entered UC irvine in 2004 as an economics major, he joined Kaba Modern, which changed his life. In a few short years, he became director of Kaba Modern in 2007, and went on to represent the team in the first season of MTV's America's Best Dance Crew. Since then, he has traveled extensively (both domestically and internationally), to perform and teach, and hopefully, inspire others to dance and promote positivity.
