I am looking to get that elusive bass tone that you can hear on some 1980 quincy jones productions, like "Off broadway" by george benson or "Don't stop till you get enough" by Michael Jackson, any hints? thanks

@27chomp It's my own model Jazz bass- I customize 'em to my own specs. Have sold a few as well. I think it sounds killer!

Is the Phase 90 schematic always been in the background?

@speshiled220 Use an actual bow like Longital does! They have quite some live videos, you can just search for them here. You may need to adjust your string heights at the bridge to make them a bit arced, although the above mentioned band does not do it at all (I asked them after a gig). They use the bow on both the guitar and the bass, and they make pretty decent music.
