yeah, but i'm pretty sure that a lot more kids under the age of 10 years died because of leukimia, brain cancer or even any kind of cancer, but i do agree, we do need to find a cure for progeria, but millions have already died of cancer, only a couple of kids died of progeria, and my little bro died of cancer 5 weeks ago, he was 8 dude, so think before you say stuff like this cause you can mess with other people's emotions.

@MrCocopuffs12 Don't worry dude, I get your message, but I do agree, we do need to find a cure for progeria because in the next 10 years, the number of cases can be up to 2000, so it's spreading like wildfire, and thanks for your sympathies :)

How? It's rare because it's not passed on genetically. It results from a random mutation of a specific gene.

Yeah, I know, but research says that mutation of the LMNA gene, which has thymine and gets replaced by cytosine which then defects the gene causing rapid aging and usually attacking the kidneys, but this mutation will actually be replaced by slagmine which has the same effects as cysotine but is about 5 times more common, so I don't say stuff without thinking.

...there is more than one person with Progeria in the world...
