Beautiful...

Has she found a home yet?

It depends on the individual dog and its mental state (breed characteristics, past experiences, self preference) My ma's schnauzer used to be very aggressive towards me, but once I started asserting my dominance, he began to come up to me, ears folded, and tail tucked down, and wagging, begging for me to "cuddle" him as my ma put it. Now, he sticks his head under my arm so that my arm is resting on his back.

From what I've seen, Eldad seems to have a pretty good instinct for when a fearful dog is serious about lashing out and when he can press his luck, but not everyone has that instinct.

Not to mention that petting on the head and hugging are NOT usually gestures that dogs appreciate. Hugging is a very PRIMATE behavior, but it can be read as a very aggressive behavior by dogs, as can pats on the head. You're much better off with neck and chest rubs, especially with a dog you don't know. I'm not trying to get down on Eldad or his rescue or his mission, I just want to make sure people thinking of following in his footsteps go out and get educated FIRST.

I would just like to second a couple of the comments made recently. This video is very sweet and wonderful, as are all of Eldad's videos, & I think what you guys are doing is great. But I worry that people out there who don't know much about dog behavior will be inspired to go out & copy you & end up really, really hurt. You make it look like all a fearful dog needs is a hug, but often that's not the case. They need time, and patience, and someone who knows how to teach them not to be afraid.

AND This goes for all breeds of dogs, not just this kind.
i showed this video to my younger sister, she's only 12 years old and an animal lover. after seeing this, she was super inspired and just wants to go out there and start rescuing dogs :) one of her goals is to one day be a part of Eldad's rescues. Eldad, thanks for being such a great inspiration! people like you have big hearts and should be greatly acknowledged! :) my sister's and i already donated in the cheeseburger fund and i'm donating more once i get my credit card :)

This is so wonderful. I love it. Just one word of caution to kids that want to save all the strays in the world. NOT ALL DOGS WILL RESPOND THIS WAY. If you approach a dog you do not know, get an adult. Dogs will give you warning signs that it's going to bite. This one appears to have given many signs that it was going to and didn't. Dogs bite out of fear. Please Please Please BEWARE. Don't approach dogs you don't know. Ask for help.
