Early in the 12th century Valencian poet Ibn Al-Zaqqâq created verses that were popular during the time, but eventually were stored in manuscript archives in Berlin and Damascus. It is the imagery of Ibn Al-Zaqqâq's verses that inspired El Sueño de Al-Zaqqâq (The Dream of Al-Zaqqâq)
and producer Luis Delgado sets the works of this twelfth century Moorish poet to music.

Al-Andalus refers to Spain from 711-1492 which was tolerant and multicultural (Moorish, Christian, and Jewish).

What a lovely video. Aurora Moreno has the most beautiful haunting voice. This music transports me to paradise! I've been to Andulucia many times and it is indeed paradise on earth! What a beautiful song, beautiful pictures, beautiful country.
