  • nice!

  • @chachipower I am glad I got these when I did--The are selling for crazy amounts now--Thanks

  • The joints are for sale on hobby sites, they even have bigger versions of Revoltech "click ball joints" for a few bucks.. so, Its all out there to do the job, Im going to make a prototype and when its done to my satisfaction Ill photograph it and offer to do the conversion to other collectors who want something rare and custom. I think it will turn out good. Ill just have to work out the bugs and see what problems I run into I want a real high-gloss finish to it, I think Ill clear coat and buff

  • @OurGothicOrlando Sounds good---Can't wait to see it--

  • Ive been looking into this project and I think my original idea would end up being too heavy on the joints so I think I found the answer. Ill cut it at the joints and fill the whole thing with "Friendly Plastic" then mount the joints right into the Friendly Plastic to get the support I need. If anything goes wrong I can re-heat it in hot water ant the plastic medium will come right back out without damaging the model. Then Ill hide the joints using flex conduit or just paint them silver.

  • @maddwoba Im betting that I can find some kind of "joint kit" in the Dollmaking department in one of these online shops.. Then Ill take a exacto blade to it and figure out the clearances.. cut that body down the midline and install the hardware. Then maybe fill the whole thing with BB's and "JB weld" or epoxy to give it some weight and seal all the hardware inside. I ll just have to see whats out there and see what can be done.. I found a 16" Marmit gold for $40 so its no big risk.

  • @OurGothicOrlando I know exactly which one you are talking about---Man that sounds like a damn good idea---Keep me posted---Looking forward to seeing that------Thanks

  • @maddwoba Im actually looking at a Marmit 16" Getter 1 Gold edition that looks like shit.. thinking about installing a system of ball socket joints and making it articulated similar to a SOC line , then painting and air brushing it to look anime correct.. what you say to that??

  • @OurGothicOrlando Sounds like me---I am couple years older--haha--The SRC line is a good one.The material the older jumbos are made out of are really hard to get the paint to stick and get it to look right---When you get one let me know I would like too see how it comes out.----Thanks---

  • @maddwoba Im 42 and Im getting back into it.. who would have thought? Im back into Getter and Getter G.. sometimes Mazinger. I like that Soul of Chogoking and Super Robot Chogokin line.. now Im thinking about getting into the Jumbos.. Im considering getting a Junky one and making a custom job.. put my auto body skills to use..
