@TheCherry1995 The Reem had toe and rib injury's during the bout he broke his rib during the fight he couldn't do cardio. If Reem was 100% and fought Werdum again it would be a bad night for Werdum. Although I will agree the Reem's chin isn't that great.

I have JDS. Overeem hasn't fought real competition. If his hands are so great he would've knocked Brock out, but he didn't. He kicked him in the surgery instead! Watch Overeem vs Werdum and ask yourself how great he looked. He gased out. He was getting popped in the face. He didn't win that fight, Werdum lost it trying to wrestle the whole damn time. JDS 1st round KO! Overeem doesn't have a chin.

this is the truth about this fight. Alister has his chance to win in the early rounds. If JDS can get thru the first 2 rounds he will then have the advantege to beat alister in this fight. This is a tough one to call but im going JDS in in the 4th if alister doesnt win in the first.

Alistair put on a lot more weight since the period where he got knocked out, and since then he has been able to take punches better imho.

This is a stupid prediction. The winner will be Overeem, 100%, no doubt. I like JDS but his training isn't anything like AO's MMA training. AO is stronger, fitter, faster and better prepared for an actual MMA fight.

If Overeem uses all the tools of his stand up and can get in close early with a Muay Thai attack, knees, kicks, etc. he stands a good chance of winning. JDS though, has a cardio, speed, and boxing advantage. If JDS can make it a boxing match, it will be a painful night for 'Reem. Not taking anything away from Overeem, but I think JDS can get the job done on him better than Reem can on JDS. I say JDS by (T)KO within the first 2 rounds.

@notsobluebear Still, Reem is gonna have to be way more aggressive with JDS. We know he is capable of doing so, but having been knocked out before, it might cause him to be more tentative. One other thing I might say about the Reem is, that he's gotten a lot better at keeping his guard up and countering. Traditionnaly, JDS' opponents couldn't block the flurries; perhaps JDS might be in for a surprise. I like both these guys, and it would suck to see either lose. Gonna be a great fight.

This is among the best, most insightful and complete predictions I have ever heard. The way you broke down each of the fighters's strengths and weaknesses and their histories - fantastic. Excellent point on the K-1 gloves, and I also had concerns for the Reem when I saw his fight with Werdum. Then I realized, that had a lot to do with Werdum changing his strategy after losing to JDS years ago. Werdum kept dropping to the ground intentionally during that fight, trying to bring it to the ground.

If Junior stays on the outside his legs will be kicked to pieces and with the Reems good hands and slight height/reach advantage Junior will have trouble doing serious damage. If Junior can cut in quickly rock the Reem he will swarm and destroy. On ground I will go with the reem due to strength and experience. All my speculation assumes the fight does not make it out of the second.

I think if Reem gets a hold of Junior early in the fight then Junior is probably going to be controlled by the larger and almost certainly stronger fighter then hurt by devastating knees. From there the Reem will quickly pick apart his handicapped opponent and probably end it late in the first.
If this was a boxing match I would pick JDS. But in mma Reem got the advantage because of his larger toolbox. Reems got vicious knees, low-kicks, liver kicks, flying knees and knock out power in both hands. On top of that he got excellent wrestling. Taking Reem down is almost impossible so the fight will be stand-up. JDS got excellent hands and great cardio. But this is not enough to stop the Reem. Because of the Muay Thay advantage I will pick Overeem for the win by KO in the first round.

Excellent video World Traveler Man. You always assess the fights incredibly well. Even taking the size of the gloves and lactic acid in the fighter's bloodstreams into account. You don't overlook anything and I like that. Always love watching your videos.
Anyway, I agree with you, both men are two of the greatest fighters of all time, but the advantage goes to Junior. He's just too damn fast for Overeem.
