Train Hopping - Spring in the Valley

Spring has sprung in the Willamette Valley, tons of lush greenery and cool wet days.

On this trip me and a buddy bagged a southbound boxcar on the fly, it had a really good flat spot on one of the wheels which pretty much blows and it had a rubbing brakeshoe that was screaming and sending breakshoe dust into the car, luckily we sided only after a few miles and we were able to switch to a better ride. I bailed early before the next crew change and saw our DPU that was the UP 1996 heritage unit which was kind of cool, he stayed on and headed to SoCal.

Over all a fun little trip... There will be main more to come!

love your videos man, they always look so linked with nature and freedom.. but i wonder, what would you do if you realised someone was going to check the train. Would you run or stay calm?

@widerstand What do you do if the boxcart door slams shut? I've heard it's dangerous because the door might close and you'll be stuck.
