In memory of Bill Fickus who along with his family and friends made it possible for us to experience a real Gold Rush on his claims at Crevice Creek in the Brooks Range. Bill passed away in October 2007 and will be dearly missed by all who knew him, including the Swiss and German goldpanners who got to know him while on vacation in the far North.

Mom and Dad spent most 50 years together in this hand made Alaskan home. All that was here in 1959 was a 600ft rough runway in the tundra. It is on the John River, (60 mile west of wiseman). Thank you for the wonderful tribute to two most special people.
