!!MOLECULAR MOTION!! (WHOOOOOA)

Crazy Chris shows us how to tell that molecules are always in motion & not only are they in motion, depending on thier tempreture they move at different speeds!

"molecular modeling" "molecular model" "molecular motors" "molecular motion" "molecular modelling" "molecular movement" "molecular movies" "science experiments" "cool science experiments" "science fair prodjects" "science experiemnts for children" "science fair prodject ideas" "science experiments gone wrong" "science tricks" "science experiments for school" "science fair projects for school" "science experiments to do at home" "science experiments you can do at home" "science experiments explosions" "science experiments cool" "science experiments at home" "science experiments easy"

  • While I enjoyed the video, there is one major problem with the demonstration. You used two different kinds of food coloring, blue and red. In a true scientific experiment you would thus end up with 2 independent variables: water temperature and coloring type, and you'd have a very hard time interpreting your results. I appreciate that you're trying to make science more accessible, but make sure it's correct all the way through.

  • @animeanibe wrong, food coloring no matter what color, is made of the same thing the only difference is the dye which defuses in water at the same rate regaurdless of color. You can see this for yourself by using the same tempreture of water and putting different colors in water and they will all defuse at the same rate. If you see them difuse at different rates (which you shouldnt) its the water not the dye.

  • @Socoolscienceshow Nope, you're missing some fundamental chemistry knowledge here. Different food colorings are made up of completely different molecules. The property of color, at its most basic, is nothing more than absorption of light at the molecular energy levels. So when I have a red liquid and a blue liquid in the otherwise same physical conditions, I know that they are two distinct substances because of they way they absorb light.

  • @animeanibe do a video test and upload it, it your so confident in yourr explanation to me, then get water and different color dyes film it and upload it, post it as as vidoe responce here and I will even approve it if you can show that the dyes diffuse at different rates depending on thier color.

  • I used to love bill nye the science guy when I was a kid. I never thought I'd find something similar when I grew up. The so cool science show is the only educational set of videos I'll watch on youtube without falling asleep.

  • @Hyru7 Im certainly glad to hear you enjoy the socoolscienceshow and even happier to hear you can stay awake haha. I too grew up on science shows like bill nye and beakmen and figured without any educational programing on TV, I would step in and fill the void :)

  • @Socoolscienceshow BTW, look up FD&C Red No. 40 and FD&C Blue No. 1. Those are two different molecules.

  • @Ignelux i dunno :D

  • How does this only have 12 likes!? XD
