did you really have to go through all of that explaining even though it was revealed as an advertising campaign for microsoft last summer? jesus people... you're retarded.
Well, it was pretty much a composite shot made up of several different takes. The body flying through the air was a cg render. That's what I read anyway :P
That's either the WORST filming job in the history of insane stunts or it was terribly convenient for transitioning from the slide to the ramp. Also, the film was obviously fastforwarded when he was in flight and by the time he's about to reach the pool he's disproportionally small comparatively to when they zoom in. But what i want to know is... how the hell were they able to capture him in flight? and what about a Green screen? Pretty clever
Very impressive, but fake. Here's why: First, the audio. If the waterslider was capable of going that fast, say he used an earth shattering new type of lubricant, it wouldn't make that vinyl on vinyl sound, there just wouldn't be that much friction. Plus he was wearing neoprene. Also, the sound is WAY too clear to be recorded from however far he was away, some 50 yards from the top, unless he was mic'd in. The next thing is that the slider temporarily disappears before he hits the ramp.
