Ukraine's stray dogs burnt on altar of Euro 2012

Ukraine is cleaning up for when it hosts the Euro 2012 football tournament. In some areas that includes the burning of stray dogs in a mobile incinerator, and animal rights activists are angry. You may find the images in Aleksey Yaroshevsky's report disturbing.

Animal rights activists in Ukraine suffer from dementia obviously. Street is no place for a dog even if it was neutered. They grow wild like wolves in the outskirts of the cities. It would take nothing more for them to at least shoot the dogs first (as they initially planned) and make sure that they are indeed dead before burning them.
