I own volvo s40 2005 and I can admit that sound is one of the best i've ever had, it's only high performance sound but is just great,clear,bassy superb quality.

I used to drive mercedes,bmw,audi but when it come to sound quality volvo is just head and shoulders above the rest.

i own a late 04 model s40 and even at 120k miles it drives so much better than my dad's 07 audi with 25k miles. Although, thats probably due to the care given to the care of its previous owner.

However, seeing this video makes me think that my AR racing wheels, chrome grill and window lining, and extra tint were not needed. (not like i had a choice, the previous owner had them put on and i got the car only for 9k.)

I'm getting my first s40 next month. Really excited. Everyone will have an individual opinion about a car, and I think it's all about who you are at the end of the day. I'm proud to say that the S40 is me...I've test driven the car 3 times, and Im happy to say that I feel one with the S40. Brilliant car and I can't wait. woohoo!

@jediDG1987 . I have volvo s40 2006. The audio was superb but I pay the extra grands to put the volvo extra amp and extra subwoofer. Do you hear that audio???

@minusss666 French engine? Are we talking about the same car? I don't think so. It's predecessor (Mitsubishi Carisma platform) had french diesel engine I think, but it was almost 10 years ago. Most of the engines are shared with Ford. Only the D5 and the T6 is made by Volvo.

I'm disappointed with this car. It only looks good, everything else about it just sucks.

Not much space inside, too loud, the engine is french shite. I don't recommend this car to anybody.

@Pabami I'm getting my 2.0D with dual clutch in about a week. So excited. I've only driven a demo car, with a 1.6 petrol on a short distance, but I was really sorry to get out of the car. I instantly felt like home. I was excited before the test drive, but got so relaxed when I got behind the wheel. My family has two Toyotas. They are extremely good cars, but they lack something. They don't have that relaxing atmosphere inside. And the exterior design is still astonishing after all these years.
