actually Beethoven DID know how music sounded. he wasnt born deaf, he went deaf.

i think he means you teach slowly and clam and clear, which is a good thing :]

Oh yes! i know beethoven wasn't born deaf :) I mean, when he wrote some of his later works, he was not able to listen to it. He was composing by his harmony and perfect pitch skills which were developed when he had his hearing.

Your lesson is very patiently delivered. I play guitar, not keyboard, but let me ask you: am I at a great disadvantage in that I play "by ear" as opposed to really "knowing" why things sound right or wrong?

no you're not at a HUGE disadvantage, if you can get the job done with the ear you have that's great, but knowing the theory behind it helps you in other ways, like the ability to compose music without ever hearing it and KNOWING how it will sound. (like Beethoven did)

Actually, yes you can, but it changes the sound of the piece.

Great video helping so much! You teach so well man. i had piano classes when i was little but i felt like i learned nothing. im actually learning just buy watching u. your very good teacher and pianist as well~!

i had a question by the way how wud transpose work for a keyboard. cause on my keyboard threes a button that says transpose........jw if u knew anything about that.

hey the best musicians of the world cant read or write music! so if anyone plays by ear, then you have an edge because you play at will and done wait for sheet music to be printed...haha

By that, I meant that you make the lesson very approachable; easy to understand, as you take the viewer clearly and gently along step by step. "Teaching" is an art form I think, and you seem to have the knack. I need a guitar teacher like you!
