The Truth About Chaos Chao

Please read this after you watch the video, just to clear up any confusion.

Generally speaking, giving your chao chaos drives and extra animals won't throw your efforts for making a Chaos Chao out the window. As seen here the chao still turned into a Chaos Chao.

I want to make it clear that SOME animals/chaos drives are okay, but not to the extent of influencing the chao to become a particular type (like what you saw with the otters spammed onto the chao).

I would also like the stress the importance of happiness that is another hidden requirement for Chaos Chao, as you saw me abusing the chao, the chao didn't turn into a Chaos Chao as its happiness was too low, despite given all animals and being reincarnated twice.
To put the happiness level more into context with other people complaining that their chao didn't turn Chaos, it was possibly because the chao's swim stat was far too low (under 0099 points). Leaving a chao drowning decreases happiness, which the happiness level didn't become high enough for them to evolve into these immortal beings. One way to prevent this from becoming an issue is to have the chao's swim points greater than 1000 before it reincarnates.

If you do need to increase your soon-to-be Chaos Chao's swim, don't be afraid to give the chao a few extra swim animals (but not too much) or feed them stat-raising fruit just to get some levels up. Chao can eat any fruit and it won't disrupt the Chaos Chao process.

MAKING A CHAOS CHAO:

For those unsure, here's the steps to make one:
1) Have the Chao reincarnate two or more times
2) While the Chao is a child (unevolved), give at least one of every animal to the Chao (using a checklist is a good idea).
3) Make sure the Chao has a happiness value at or greater than 51 (this value increases everytime a heart appears over the Chao's head)
4) Make sure the Chao is on the evolution pathway of a None type (aka Stamina).
5) Give the Chao any alignment (neutral, hero or dark) of your choice.

If all these requirements are met, your Chao will evolve into a Chaos Chao.

Oh, I just raised the stats to Level 99 once they evolved. It's better that way, since raising stats en mass can ruin the transformation if you're not aware about how evolution works.

Chao can reincarnate many times, I have one that's reincarnated 6 times. But for making Chaos Chao you don't need the Chao to reincarnate twice strictly speaking, that's just the minimum requirement. You can have a Chao who has reincarnated 15 times and still be capable of evolving into a Chaos Chao. But once they are Chaos Chao, they'll never reincarnate again due to being immortal.

The flame ball has the tendency to be removed once you give any Animals or Chaos Drives to them.

As long as you treat the Chao equally with both Hero and Dark (with both petting and items), getting Neutral alignments shouldn't be too much of an issue.
