Mythic actually retained most (if not all) of the rights to DAoC when EA bought them out. I guess they didn't see any worth in it and only had WAR in their sights. Short sighted fools!

@edwinshap1 Completely understand, if EA knows what's right they'll get Mythic working on a DAOC II at some point, I love the game to much to not go back to it at some point haha.. there's justing nothing that is as fun as good ol' RvR and relic raids.

@acynnon agreed, i just don't want to go back and have the same old issues that have been around forever XD i'd like it if changing ranks in a guild didn't involve 50 / commands. i'd like it if lag wasn't the deciding factor in a wizard's duel, i'd like if even being looked at didn't completely shut down every caster... but i'd probably wait for a remake, but i would most likely give it another serious shot if they just updated the engine and graphics a bunch.

@D1NWO I always go back to DAoC... still play :) Also I know it's not really the same, but check out Guild Wars 2 World v World v World. They have a "frontier" map where 3 "factions" (In this case each faction is a server!) duke it out over a 4 map area. 1 map for each server start, and a nuetral to be capture map in the middle. There are keeps, castles and objectives all up for the taking and to be claimed by your guild. There's quite a bit of chatter about gw2 "rvr" shaping up nicely :)

this is what MMOs of today is missing ... balls to make more then 2 factions an open realm with pvp that supports hundres of players from all sides dukeing it out, i still remember my first relic raid back in the day 100 Albs going to mid fighting 50-100 mid when a Hib zerg og about 100 showed up and it was an all out fight .... fucking amazing ...
